We stayed here between visiting the Grand Canyon and Bryce Canyon. It’s one of the nicer campgrounds I’ve stayed at. The staff were helpful and friendly, and there were several campsites available when we visited in early June. The campsites have a picnic table and a fire pit with a grill. The bathrooms were easily the cleanest I’ve seen at any campsite, and other campers were respectful of the noise & light rules. The camp store and gas station are a minute a way, have any supplies you’d need for a night of camping.
Nice place if you have no other place to stay. Located close to the road so you hear vehicles passing all night, especially if you're in a tent. Place is clean and nicely laid out. Clean vault restrooms, no showers. Close to a gas station and gift shop. About an hour drive to the North Rim. Only issue I had was when we arrived at 8am, looking for a FFS site, we found one marked OPEN 1-2 days. After an hour of getting set up, the host came by and said that we needed to wait till 10am because she hasn't made her rounds. Luckily the site was still available, and we didn't have an issue. Nothing was posted about having to wait to 10am on the entrance.
Clean, big camp spots, very clean bathrooms, $26.00 a night. Feels safe. Camp host continously making rounds which is nice.
Second time this year we've stayed here. CG is clean and quiet. Bathrooms are nicest vault toilets I've ever used. Campground hosts clean them several times a day. Jacob Lake is convenient if visiting North Rim GCNP or Vermillion Cliffs.
Very clean and neat campground. Amazing Ponderosa pines against pure blue skies. Star watching is good at night too. They have vault toilets and water spigot, along with hand sanitizer. Across the street is the Jacob Lake Inn with a little grocery store, bakery, ice cream, restaurant and gas station. A total treat for weary campers!
So beautiful, neat and clean. Trees make you feel rustic but are well away from causing problems at the site for campers. Nice table and fire ring. Gravel was well tended and easy to ride bikes on. Perfect location for seeing the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, Vermilion Cliffs, Lee’s Ferry, and the Kaibab Forest. We truly hated leaving here. It was our favorite in out 3 week trip.
Clean, and we had no problems with the host! However, this camping area is right next to street, so it is a bit louder. Also, people ran their generators till late in the night and as early as 6:30AM, which is something we don't appreciate!
Perfect little one room cabin! Nice playground. Tasty little camp diner & gift shop. Gas station. Clean cabins. Great place to stay and visit the Grand Canyon North Rim. Tent camping across the road. Very friendly park rangers. Stars are amazing here. The beauty is indescribable. The whole place is great.
